This painting marks a turning point in my artistic practice, being one of the first made entirely in acrylic after years of favoring watercolor or the mixture of the two mediums. It represents a woman smoking a cigarette, surrounded by birds in flight, in an atmosphere that is both ethereal and intense. Through this work, I explore the texture and depth offered by acrylic, thus affirming my ability to navigate between different pictorial techniques.

Cette peinture marque un tournant dans ma pratique artistique, étant l’une des premières réalisées entièrement à l’acrylique après des années à privilégier l’aquarelle ou le mélange des deux médiums.
